Codenamed the Samsung MBP200, Samsung released its portable media player (which has a built in pico projector) at CES 2009. The great thing about this mini projector/media player is it accepts both microSD and video input. Samsung claim this micro projector is capable of reproducing a video projection up to the size of a 50 inch television. If they can get the illumination bright enough this would be an amazing gadget, if Samsung flat screen tv’s are anything to go by this could be the micro projector to watch!

According to Samsung the technology will be firstly available in Korea, where the micro projector/ phone projector market is already growing strongly and phones with projectors built in are already available – we can’t wait to get the Samsung micro projector – media player here in the uk but it might be a while before we see it in English tech/phone shops.
