Here at micro projectors (microprojector5.co.uk) we have been watching the development of the handheld projector avidly since this blogs incarnation. But then is a hand-held projector the same thing as a micro projector? This terminology does make a difference, slightly.  “Micro” makes you think it covers small projectors, of which their size is completely dependent on the manufacturers technology development budget. If you go to some projector specialists, or even some projector online shops – you will see that “micro” projectors or small form factor projectors are often not the same as the handeld projector’s we feature here.

To us its a clear definition – all projectors small enough to fit in the hand could be either handheld projectors or micro projectors, all really portable projection systems I would say could be called micro, so whichever you want to call it – remember – if your asking for them in the shop, or you buy one online without seeing it in scale with something else – for example in a hand being held then you might get something that wont fit in your pocket (dont get us started on pocket projectors – they are all the same thing!!!!)
