Vibration-compensated Micro Projectors

The theory is simple – you take inertia sensors and yaw rate sensors and use the outputs to stablize the projected image. But the idea is becoming a stable requirement for micro projectors. Think about your standard new age projector, it fits snuggly in your hand (so they can call it a handheld projector) but the thing with your hand is it has an awful habbit of moving a little bit, heartrate, breathing – things like that tend to knock the projected image on the bus seat infront off a bit.

This is what compelled the digital camera technology to improve and image stabilising has come on leaps and bounds in cameras, so no doubt in a few years we will have some pretty amazing vibration, life, movement compensated micro projectors out in the market.  I think it goes hand in hand with making things smaller.

Is vibration compensation the biggest feature we look for in micro projectors to advance though? A lot of work is going into it but I cant help thinking adopting some digital camera technology would be quicker, and working on minuturising the sensors so as to up the resolution of these mini projectors would be a more healthy pursuit.

Bigger resolution micro projectors or more stable ones? Which would you choose!
