Current models of mini projectors available for sale in the uk/europe market are sold as professional options, for use within business day to day. Originally the 3m promotional video advertised them as an ideal addition to an estate agents toolset, allowing them to project property details onto a surface within the house. Now this is a very real use of the new pico projector technology, but at current resolutions it may provide a more negative than positive end user stimulus. As resolutions and brightness/contrast ratio’s improve in these little projectors no doubt this will become a really viable addition to the wow factor of high end real estate sellers.

But where else would the micro projector fit into business life? We have come up with the top 3 ideas, all off the top of our heads!

1. Workspaces’s – with microsofts touch sensitive surfaces on their way in the very near future we know collaborative work spaces are going to add a whole new dimension to work, but micro projectors are so small they would make surfaces/workspaces a whole lot more affordable and mass scale deployable.

2. Board table’s – CEO’s like nice board tables, big leather chairs – but what they are missing is a way to see documents and other media’s virtually right in front of them. The microprojector would fit here perfectly (Copywrite MicroProjector5.co.uk obviously :p)

3. Elevator / Maps – Huge company buildings often have “you are here” maps to guide visitors around the company buildings, this could be digitalised and enhanced with microprojectors built into the building, elevator doors could become advertising space!
