Micro Projector Formats: SD Card

As with our previous post on micro sd card micro projectors, the different multimedia formats a micro mini projector can take can make or break whether or not you buy it – often customers have a tendancy to stick to one memory format as it works across all their devices. SD CardsĀ  are (as are micro sd) excellent in terms of durability, capacity, cost and read speed – they are, after all solid state which means read times, longevity and so forth are all exceptional.

In our experiments the more expensive faster SD cards relatively showed minor performance increases in the micro projectors we tested on. Whereas digital camera’s require this fast write speed to avoid bottlenecking when saving down huge resolution images, micro-projector’s don’t have any such requirement and are much more focused on reading files over writing. The moral of our testing is whether you go for cheap unbranded SD Cards for your micro projector or more pricey ones – very little difference in video playback, file accessing etc are noticable.
