It has been annouced that Micron the memory chip making technology firm has acquired the small display screen manufacturer DisplayTech. Displaytech make small lcd /tft screens for use in camera view finders and pico projectors. This could mean great things for micro projector manufacture on the whole as it puts chip producers and screen makers in the same ownership, so pico and micro projectors should ensue. We cant wait to see what products they release in the future – could we see an ipod with a micro projector, a blackberry that projects pico? Lets wait and see what Micron get out!
