One source has just released a study which highlights the impact of different types of screen image on your eyes and apparently a micro projected image is better for your eyes than an equivelent size lcd screen! admittedly its marginal and is in part due to the current technological simplicity of the handheld projector over the brighter higher resolution flatscreen monitors, but its still interesting to know – especially when for things like film and such micro projectors actually make a better viewable image if you ask me – being set up to project video over spreadsheets mean they have more than 1 black, a common negative in lcd monitors.

Overall its unlikely when the second or third generation pico projectors hit our stores that there will be much of a difference between lcd/projected images/videos in terms of eye wear/damage, but its interesting to watch as the technology used to map how the eye deals with projected images develops. What do you think? Do your eyes get more tired after a few hours of a projected screen or an lcd screen? for me its the latter but its likely to be the sheer size/resolution of this monitor ;p
