More Pico Projector Use’s
We did a post a while back about the random use of micro projectors in projecting images Everywhere, as the use of pico projector’s is growing day in day out so is the internets content behind the door marked “pico projection onto XYZ” – almost daily people are uploading photographs of them using their microprojector to project onto just about anything you can call a projectable surface. Heres the latest round ups and as the next generation of handheld projector’s makes it to the shops no doubt these will be just a tiny number compared to the torrent of people projecting every which where!
Projecting onto the table or desk in front of you using a micro projector hooked up to a phone – great for watching movies on the surface in front of you while on a train (shown here)

Same old comedy one – projecting something onto a persons back – a bit like the modern equivilent of using someones back to sign a contract, mind you with a waiter/waitress’s white shirt projecting onto this with a handheld projector and your mobile might just be achievable!

Why not bring your ring binder to life? This example of using a micro projector coupled with a normal office ringbinder filled with paper as a way of conveying information is no doubt a winner to a market who would not be expecting the technology to work so simply.

Got that funny family guy clip on your mobile you want to show your mates? At a boring wedding and keen to show off your pocket projector? Well as long as the table your sitting at has flat enough sides why not project onto the table cloth?

Not so unconventional as the above but still worthy of note. Samsung themselves are keen to see accessories such as this portable handheld projector screen to sell alongside their microprojector capable phones and pico projectors. Just like a conventional projector screen, they can be made out of material that is complimentary to the projection and can work a lot better than an equivilent white wall. We have tried a few budget one sof these but it would be nice to see a truely pocket sized one that worked to a high level.

Finally the simplest, most low-tech closest to hand screen imaginable – you could use your micro projector to project strait onto the palm of your hand – admittedly this offers very little extra screen real-estate than the actual device but it does mean more people could potentially watch.
That’s it folks, until next time we get round to sticking all the new uses of micro projectors up – perhaps as car heads up displays, projections onto bedroom cielings or card games – who knows maybe even film will get hold of them!
