Just a short post to discuss the news today that Syndiant – the company that produces those wonderful high resolution screens the size of half of your fingernail for use in embedded pico projectors has just secured 10.7 million dollars ( 6.46 million pounds at the current exchange rate ) for further development in their production of high resolution pico projector components. A mixture of private investors and the Texas Emerging technology fund invested the money which should help Syndiant accellerate to mass production of these tiny high resolution devices as quick as possible – so the market can start making high resolution microprojectors faster.

This is a great investment in both an up and coming mini projector component company and also in the technology of the microprojector itself. Our estimate is these higher resolution pico’s could reach us in a usable form within the next 12 months, but at the latest of 18 months time. With such fantastic resolutions we are all going to have them embedded almost everywhere – A good investment by the private investors I would say.
