Micro Projector Lamps
Micro Projector Lamps are not something you should be searching for, in fact. Firstly by nature of how these tiny handheld projectors are made they come with a limited use life, so the lamps cant really be feasibly replaced without replacing the unit, secondly how have you managed to use 20,000 hours on a hand held projector thats probably no more than a year old? The companies building these pico’s have priced these handheld projector’s to enter the market at a low figure – under £300 replacement parts are not often worked into the designs.
This is a shame for the environment and not very eco effective use of the resources put into a micro projector – to keep costs down you can understand why they have done it but an eco pico would sell incredibly well in an ever changing market that is leaning more and more away from disposable technology. Most micro projector lamps are nothing more than a few ultra bright LED’s that will probably outlast some of the other components – but these could be replaced. Perhaps with other technological developments in surrounding industries there can be a truley eco pico within the next few years, with batteries that do not need throwing away after a few years or can be reused. Here’s hoping – But really most pico projector lamps currently should last you well into the few year marks, fyi.
